Project Smiles

Project Smiles happens on Reyes(Kings Day), January 6. Kings Day is a holiday that carries as much importance as Christmas does here in America. Instead of presenting the gifts on Christmas day, they present the gifts on the day that the Three Kings present their prophetic gifts to Jesus. Project Smiles is to give a toy to children in impoverished communities. Reaching boys and girls, with various activities that share the love of God in fun exciting ways. Near the end of the event, we distribute clothes and gifts to the children. Our goal is to present at least one toy to every girl and boy.

2022 Project Smiles

This year we traveled to the community called Nueva Esperanza, Guanaito. There we reached 175 children and gave out 60 tickets for clothing distribution, as well as 20 food baskets. We are continuing to go into different communities to continue our journey in Project Smiles. Watch our Project Smile Video here.

As we continued our Project Smiles, we went to El Caobal. At the event, 180 children received a gift and 50 tickets were given to adults for clothing.  During this event, Samaritan Purse donated gifts to give out as well as having a group called Lider, help us.

2021 Project Smiles

2020 Project Smiles

On January 6th, we celebrated Kings Day by having our annual Project Smiles event in the community called Maizal. This year we partnered with a dentist office to be part of our outreach and teach families about brushing teeth. This year we were able to give every child a toothbrush and toothpaste to take home. Throughout the day, we repainted and cleaned a house for a blind man who has no family. Additionally, we gave him amongst others in deep need bags of food. There were several stations throughout the area, for instance: face painting, various games, hair washing, and snack area. Proceeding, we came together for some fun worship, a message on Jesus' love, and prayer. At the end of the event, we presented over 200 gift bags to children in Maizal and saw every child smile big.
