Sunday, June 21st, we traveled to Los Mosquitos, Villa Altagracia. Going there was a little rough journey, do to the bumpy and very narrow roads. Sadly, right before we arrived at the location, our ministry vehicle battery died, causing us to walk a small distance. What is a ministry day without Satan trying to put it to a halt? God was beyond faithful that day from holding off the rain to bringing smiles and hope to so many families.
We reached over 200 people in Los Mosquitos, and 100 of them were children and several elders. Each person was able to grab five items of clothing. After the clothing distribution finished, we started to give 1-2 bags of food to elders or families who are in desperate need. Pastor Francisco, from Iglesia Templo Edificando para Cristo, and Pastor Maximo, from another church down the road, helped us figure out who needed the food.
We did end up walking back to our vehicle, and Pastor Maximo gave us a boost, and we were able to make it home. It is always cool to see how faithful God is through out a day like that day and we are so grateful.
